This is a photo of me and my sisters on the High Line. The year was likely 1976-ish—I was around five.

The High Line was extremely hard to sneak onto. We had to climb over a wall and down the side of a building. We found a wooden ladder that the workers had, and we decided to use it to sneak onto the High Line. The ladder was too short for us, so my sister would drop me off the side of the building to the top of the ladder to my other sister. It was only a few inches till my other sister would grab me as I dropped, and I knew if she missed catching me I would fall 20 feet. But she never missed me.
