Rail Yards Talk: Rick Darke

In September and October, 2011, Friends of the High Line presented a series of public talks about the past, present, and future of the High Line at the West Side Rail Yards.

In this talk, titled “The High Line’s Wild Gardens: Past, Present, and Future,” author, photographer, and landscape ethicist Rick Darke talks about his experience photographing the High Line, and discusses the park’s impact on landscape design and urban planning across the world.

Rail Yards Programs are generously supported by The Tiffany & Co. Foundation, the New York Community Trust—LuEsther T. Mertz Advised Fund, the Greenwall Foundation, and, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.
