Wellness Programs

Join High Line Wellness free programming, designed specifically with older adults in mind. Adults of any age are invited to join the High Line to learn, move, have fun, and connect with neighbors. Wellness activities, educational sessions, cultural engagements, and other events are offered on and near the park, in collaboration with local community-based organizations that serve older adults in Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, and on the West Side of Manhattan.

Tai chi—the ultimate mind and body workout, involves slow, fluid, continuous movements through formalized postures of centuries-old Chinese Taoist martial arts.

Senior Stretch

In this free fitness class, movements are specifically designed to realign the skeletal system, while gently toning and elongating muscles.

Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements.

Afro-Brazilian dance is a unique and fun dance combination of Samba reggae from Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, and West African, and Latino beats.

Guided Meditation: A Mindful Walk

This 10-minute experience is designed to expand your awareness as you take a walk. You’ll use your breath, body, and five senses to ground yourself and perceive your surroundings in a whole new way.
