HIGH LINE ART COMMISSION: Giorgio Andreotta Caló, rhábdos

Thursdays, 12:00–4:00 PM

​A copy of artist Giorgio Andreotta Caló's (b. 1979, Italy) walking stick sculpture rhábdos, cast in aluminum is available to borrow every Thursday from the Friends of the High Line office at 820 Washington Street for brief excursions in the park.


HIGH LINE ART COMMISSION: Roman Ondak, Teaching to Walk

​Roman Ondak invites individual mothers or caregivers with eight-to-twelve-month-old sons to teach them to walk in the park.

For Wanderlust, Mirra takes a series of morning walks, cultivating the half-smile, and anyone is welcome to join.

For Wanderlust, Jensen transposes the length and shape of the High Line onto other sites in New York City, creating annotated maps and walks of these areas.

Come walk along the High Line and have your footsteps turned int a variety of sounds through a free, downloadable smartphone application that features a score of electric guitar chords, zen gongs, and more.
