Reservations are now available for art walks of Carol Bove’s High Line Commission Caterpillar, a series of seven large-scale sculptures installed on the High Line at the Rail Yards.

Reservations are available for walks through Saturday, September 28. Tickets are free and require advance reservations.

Friends of the High Line is seeking proposals for innovative, sustainable, and affordable food on the High Line in 2012. There are three opportunities for savory food stands in the Chelsea Market Passage, and one opportunity to operate The Porch, an area with more than 50 seats and sweeping views of the Hudson River.

Proposals are due by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, February 1. Download the Request for Proposals.

Friends of the High Line is also seeking an operator to run a new full-service, year-round restaurant to open directly below the High Line at Gansevoort and Washington Streets in October, 2013. Proposals for the restaurant are due on Thursday, March 15.

Tuesday, January 24 is final day to check out the screening of Gordon Matta-Clark’s City Slivers on the High Line. The silent film has been looping on HIGH LINE CHANNEL since November, and tomorrow it will be de-installed to make way for a new art film.

HIGH LINE CHANNEL is on view daily from dusk to 10:00 PM. The film is viewable during normal operating hours from the Seating Steps on the High Line, and also from the sidewalk below along West 22nd Street.

For almost a year, Kim Beck’s skeletal sculptures, reminiscent of empty billboard frames, have been installed on three rooftops next to the southern end of the High Line. Now as the exhibit, Space Available, is drawing to a close, we’d like to invite you out one more time to enjoy her work before the sculptures are taken down next week.

More than 200 people came to the High Line at the Rail Yards Community Input Meeting on December 6, 2011 to share ideas for the design of the High Line's final section, and many others have responded via email, Facebook, and Twitter with thoughts.

The High Line will be open for regular operating hours, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, on Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

Gordon Matta-Clark’s City Slivers is now playing on HIGH LINE CHANNEL.

HIGH LINE CHANNEL features daily screenings of silent art films and videos projected onto a building wall next to the High Line at West 22nd Street. Screenings, which are viewable from both the High Line and West 22nd Street, begin at dusk and run on a loop until 10:00 PM.

Food and beverage are important public amenities that enhance the High Line experience in a positive and significant way. We are committed to working with unique and entrepreneurial concessionaires whose product is innovative, sustainable, and affordable.
