Brown-belted Bumblebee

Bombus griseocollis

They may look sleepy, but bumblebees are among the most reliable garden helpers. In fact, some of the park’s brightest blooms are only pollinated by big buzzing friends like the bumblebee.

Let someone you can count on through thick and thin know that you appreciate them. Adopt this loveable pollinator today.

Where to spot them on the High Line

Bumblebees appear wherever there are blooms. Check the Wildflower Field between 28th and 30th streets. They’re an instantly recognizable insect with a lot of character (once you get to know them).
