Mixrice

Mixfruit

Mixrice (KO Gyeol, CHO Jieun and KIM Jungwon) are a collective formed in 2002 in Seoul, South Korea. Mixfruit is a public sculpture in the form of an odd fruit dotted with smaller fruits. The work derives from ongoing workshops of the same name, where mixrice invites migrants from the Netherlands, the US, and South Korea to describe and recreate in clay fruits the artists had never encountered before.
